8Light Exposure
A good sleeping space should be dark enough. Exposure to light during bedtime may affect your ability to fall and stay asleep. Light may come from the outside on the street, the display of your alarm clock, or a reading lamp. The same holds true for light from electronic devices in your bedroom. Even worse, using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop before sleeping may disrupt your sleep due to the effects of blue light. Scientists have found a longer time on electronic devices associated with more difficulty falling asleep, reduced sleep quality, as well as worsened sleep efficiency. [8]
