2Verzenio Uses
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of Vernezio for treating metastatic or advanced breast cancer that is HER2-negative or HR-positive. In these cases, cancerous cells have spread from the breasts to other parts of the body. Specifically, verzenio can be used:
– As a single treatment in people with metastatic breast cancer after chemotherapy and endocrine therapy
– In combination with fulvestrant in females with metastatic or worsened cancer even after endocrine therapy
– As the first endocrine therapy with aromatase inhibitor in menopausal women [2]
