Just like kefir, yogurt contains a lot of probiotics, or live bacteria or active cultures. They are very helpful in keeping your intestinal tract and gut free of illness-causing germs and pathogens. While many probiotic supplements can be found on the market, eating yogurt can be a simpler and more effective way to increase your white blood cells and boost the performance of your immune system. Keep in mind to choose those products that are free of added sugar. Plain options are often the best ones, but any varieties with no more than 8g of sugar in total can also provide many benefits.
