7Healing Time
Compared to other nose piercings, bridge piercing tends to heal faster. This is mainly because this procedure only passes through a thin layer of skin. It often takes around 2 to 3 months for a full recovery. This period is enough for the soft tissue to heal. Keep in mind that these areas heal from the outside in, so the piercing would look healed much sooner. However, that does not mean it actually is. [8]
Who Should Not Get Bridge Piercing?
Most people can get bridge piercing as it is considered a safe procedure. If you wear glasses, just be careful with positioning. Bridge piercings do not interfere with your glasses. In case they do, go for a curved or shorter barbell or jewelry with flatter or smaller ends. In some companies or organizations, bridge piercing may be not accepted. Make sure to check the requirements before you have bridge pierced to avoid this situation. Although it is possible to take out and put back the piercing, this would be troublesome.[9]
