9Rexulti for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women
There is currently no information about the possible risks of taking Rexulti in pregnant or breastfeeding women. However, some studies have shown that similar medications taken in the third trimester may increase the risk of extrapyramidal problems in newborn babies. Some withdrawal symptoms would also occur in those infants who are exposed to Rexulti. These include difficulty feeding, drowsiness, agitation, difficulty in breathing, or tremors. It is still not clear whether Rexulti is safe to take during breastfeeding. However, the medication would pass into breast milk and lead to certain problems in breastfed children. [10]
