Currently, the FDA approves Rexulti for the treatment of the following two conditions:
– Schizophrenia: While Rexulti cannot cure schizophrenia, it can help manage the symptoms of this disease, such as trouble thinking, delusions, and hallucinations. The medication may also help alleviate the severity of these problems.
– Major depressive disorder: Rexulti can be an additional treatment for those with this condition if antidepressant drugs do not work well for them. Keep in mind that both medications should be taken together as Rexulti cannot replace antidepressants. [3]
