Pramipexole may cause a few side effects, which can vary from person to person. Common problems include constipation, vomiting, nausea, excessive sleepiness, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth, hallucinations, muscle spasm, and peripheral edema, which causes swelling in the hands, feet, or ankles. People in advanced phases of Parkinson’s disease who also take levodopa may experience some of the following side effects: loss of appetite, headache, hallucinations, constipation, nausea, and uncontrolled sudden movements. Some severe side effects are rare, but may also occur, such as dyskinesia, shortness of breath, allergies, sudden sleepiness, hypotension, hallucinations, and uncontrolled changes in posture.
