There are many ways to classify partial seizures, mostly based on the underlying causes and symptoms. There is still no consensus on the best system. Depending on the awareness of the patients, a seizure can be decreased or normal. Another factor is the physical movement. A seizure might be related to involuntary movements or not. Motor problems caused by partial seizures are typically categorized as epileptic or clonic spasms, atonic automatisms, as well as tonic, myoclonic, or hyperkinetic activity. In addition, non-motor signs related to partial seizures are divided into behavior arrest, autonomic, sensory, emotional, or cognitive dysfunction. [8]
