6Can You Get Medical Disability Benefits If You Are Still Working?
You can get disability benefits for Medicare while working for a transition period under the Ticket to Work program and work incentives of Social Security. There are 3 timeframes to know:
– The trial work lasts 9 months in which you would test your working capability and get full benefits
– The extended period lasts 36 months after the trial work, in which you get full benefits in which month you do not earn considerable gainful activity
– After the trial work, you would still get free benefits for Medicare Part A and pay Part B premiums for at least 93 months if you are still eligible for disability benefits. [7]
