Below are the recommended dosages for treating edema with hydrochlorothiazide in different age groups:
– Older adults over 65 years old: No specific recommendations.
– Adults from 18 to 64 years old: 25 to 100 milligrams per day in a single or separate dosage.
– Children from 12 to 17 years old: 25 to 100 milligrams per day in a single or separate dosage.
– Children from 3 to 11 years old: 0.5 to 1 milligram per pound each day in a single or separate dosage. The maximum dosage is 100 milligrams per day.
– Children from 0.5 to 2 years: 0.5 to 1 milligram per pound each day in a single or separate dosage. The maximum dosage is 37.5 milligrams per day.
