6Blood Type and Diabetes
Diabetes is a common autoimmune disease. In type 2 diabetes, the body cannot release sufficient insulin or resist this hormone. Research in the risk of diabetes in different blood groups provides certain findings. For instance, it has been found that group O is linked to a lower risk of this condition, while people with group B tend to has the highest risk. However, other studies found that people with A blood type are more likely to develop diabetes. Due to conflicting results, further research is needed to learn more about the possible association between diabetes and blood type. [6]
