7What to Do When A Person Needs CPR?
CPR is a very useful technique that can save people’s lives in many situations. Therefore, it is ideal when everyone might be trained for it. If you are not, you would be afraid of helping other people during an emergency. Depending on your level of training, there are different approaches to the situations when a person needs CPR:
– For trained people: Check to know whether the pulse is still working and the person is still breathing. If there is no breathing or pulse within 10 seconds, perform CPR with alternating 30 compressions and 2 breathes.
– For untrained or not confident people: Do hands-only CPR rather than CPR with breaths.[11]
