Military veterans may get healthcare benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. However, they are only paid for medical services offered by Veterans Affairs facilities, which usually do not cover some benefits in other medical settings. In these cases, Medicare Part A can be a good option to get covered for other services in non-Veterans Affairs facilities.
