Many studies have recently raised some concerns about the association between GMOs and increased risks of cancer. Once these modified foods are digested, some proteins and components with adjusted structures would affect your body’s cells. After interacting with each other for an extended period, some cancerous cells would show up and multiply uncontrollably. However, the risk is quite low and the number of reported cases is not so high. More studies are still needed to confirm this fact about GMOs. [9]
