A study has found that using e-cigarettes regularly may double the risk of developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, in comparison with non-users. This risk remains the same even scientists took into account possible confounders, such as secondhand smoke or the use of tobacco products. Some other serious conditions may also occur due to the harmful effects of nicotine and other chemicals in these products. Even when vaping does not cause serious diseases, users may still experience chest pain or difficulty breathing sometimes.
