Common Teas for Menstrual Cramps

3Raspberry Leaf Tea

Raspberry leaf tea is derived from leaves of raspberries, and can be gotten almost anywhere. Raspberry can be used in preparation of medicines, and yet widely used for tea. The tea is highly beneficial to the health. It has been found to relieve the pain symptoms associated with menstrual cramps. Studies into the chemical properties of the raspberry leaf have revealed that the tea is a good source of calcium. Calcium helps to control the release of certain hormones related to menstrual cramps and premenstrual syndrome. Fragrine found in raspberry helps to tone up the uterine muscular wall. Increased tone of the uterus relaxes the uterine cramps. Also, raspberry leaf tea has anti-inflammatory properties that ease off the menstrual cramps. Put the raspberry leaves in a small pot of water, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. You can add sugar or honey as sweeteners. [3]
