4Likelihood of Success
Most healthcare providers conclude that nipple stimulation is only effective when the body of pregnant women is well prepared for giving birth. Some factors may indicate this, such as:
– Bloody show or show, which is an increase of discharge in the vagina. It may be sometimes pinkish or brownish
– The baby drops or moves down into lower positions in the pelvic cavity
– Braxton Hicks contractions
– The Bishop score is at least eight. This is a measurement used during a pelvic exam for predicting the likelihood of a pregnant woman to go into labor.
– The cervix is in a favourable condition, which means it starts to open, soften, and become thin. [5]
