Can I Change Medicare Advantage Plans Anytime?

2Switch Options for Medicare Advantage

If you are currently participating in a Medicare Part C plan, you would switch to the following options:

– A different Medicare Part C plan without medication coverage

– A different Medicare Part C plan with medication coverage

– Original Medicare, including Part A and Part B, and a Part D plan for prescription medications

– Original Medicare without a Part D plan

To switch a Medicare Part C plan, you should contact the insurance company that you want and send an application. As soon as the new plan takes effect, the previous one will automatically stop. If you want to switch to original Medicare from Medicare Part C, you may directly contact Medicare or your former provider. [2]
