Azithromycin: Uses, Dosage & Side Effects

6How to Take Azithromycin

The liquid form of azithromycin can be injected in the vein of the arm, while the tablet can be taken orally. Simply swallow the whole capsule or tablet with a glass of water. You may take it with or without food. It is very important to follow the instructions of your doctor and drug manufacturer. Avoid taking more or less than the prescribed dosage. Make sure to complete the course of treatment. Do not stop taking the medication without guidance even when your symptoms improve. Skipping dosages or stopping early may increase the risk of recurrence and antibiotic resistance.  [7]
