It is a therapeutic vaccine that can activate immunity. This treatment is suggested for those who already developed resistance to hormone therapy or have either mild symptoms or no symptoms. You can receive Provenge intravenously in 3 separate doses every 2 weeks. Possible side effects include joint pain, back pain, headache, and nausea. [4]
