8Quinoa is good for bone health
The presence of certain minerals in quinoa makes it suitable for the bones. Quinoa contains sufficient levels of magnesium, phosphorus, and manganese. These minerals are all needed to develop and maintain healthy bones; the presence of these minerals may also help in the prevention of some bone diseases like osteoporosis. However, you should know that there is high phytic acid in quinoa, this may hinder the absorption of minerals present in quinoa as this acid can bind to minerals and reduce the absorption of these minerals. So even though, quinoa has a high content of different minerals, it may not be absorbed well in the body; to prevent this, you can soak quinoa in water to reduce the phytic acid content.
