Smoking in an extended period would increase the risk of having erectile dysfunction in males. This is because harmful substances in tobacco products would damage blood vessels that transport oxygen and nutrients to the penis. In addition, smokers tend to have lower sperm count and quality. They can even at higher risk of testicular cancer. In females, the more cigarettes you smoke, the more serious the damage to their reproductive system can be. This would reduce the chance to be pregnant. Nicotine and other chemicals would even affect the production and regulation of some important hormones that determine fertility. [5]
