Chronic inflammation is a major risk factor for several illnesses, such as cancer, liver disease, heart disease, and obesity. Beet juice contains betalains, which have several anti-inflammatory properties. A recent study has shown that both beetroot extract and beet juice may reduce inflammation in the kidney. In people with osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis, these antioxidants can be effective in easing discomfort, pain, and other related symptoms. While these findings indicate an anti-inflammatory effect of beets, more human studies should be done to find out whether beets might be used to reduce inflammation. [9]
