5Compression
Many women many need a breast compression in which pressure is applied to the outside of the breast to stimulate the flow of milk. This can be helpful during breastfeeding period as it may provide the babies with more milk to grow. It also benefits those babies who need long or frequent feedings, who suck to pacify instead of drink milk, and who fall asleep quickly when breastfeeding. This form of compression may affect breast nerve fibers around the breast tissue or chest wall, leading to numbness. Wearing a too tight bra may also cause breast compression. [5]
