It is simple to treat pernicious anemia. Most people need to take vitamin B12 to deal with deficiencies. This is usually completed with some injections over a period. The symptoms tend to improve in a few days or even within 24 hours. An alternative can be oral vitamin B12. However, it is not recommended for those with severe neurological signs. In both cases, you need to begin with a more frequent and a higher dose. But you have to take vitamin B12 over the long run, either through daily oral treatment or monthly injections.
Every 3 to 5 years, your healthcare provider may need to perform a periodic endoscopy of the stomach. The aim is to make sure they can detect any possible complications and suggest a prompt treatment.[10]
