Orbital cellulitis is a dangerous condition. It would cause inflammation in the muscle tissues and fat within the orbit or eye socket. As a result, the eye can be pushed out of the socket. This forward displacement or protrusion leads to common signs of orbital cellulitis, including proptosis, swelling, and pain. Other possible symptoms can be a headache, loss of appetite, exhaustion, fever, eye discharge, difficulty opening the eye, swollen or red eyelid, sudden vision loss, impaired vision, limited eye movement, and pain.
