The excretory system has a close link to the endocrine system and the circulatory system. The association with the circulatory system is clear. Blood circulates throughout the body and passes through the kidneys. Excess fluids, uric acid, and urea are eliminated from the blood and then water is returned into the system.
The endocrine system plays an important role in regulating the operation of the excretory system. When fluid and compound levels are controlled, kidney functions should be adjusted continuously to ensure a suitable internal environment for cells.
