5Symptoms of Nummular Eczema
Nummular eczema causes round patches like coins on the skin. In fact, the term “nummular” literally means coin in Latin. In general, this condition can be very different from other forms of eczema. It could itch a lot as well. Two typical symptoms are:
– The coin-shaped and round patches appear on the skin
– The skin patches might become scaly or itch
Nummular eczema could be caused by an allergic reaction to chemicals or metals or a reaction to insect bites. Dry skin is another possible cause. People with other forms of eczema like atopic dermatitis can be at a higher risk of developing nummular eczema. [5]
