Neurodermatitis and atopic dermatitis are relatively similar. Both conditions cause scaly and thick spots on the skin. However, neurodermatitis might be characterized by the following typical signs:
– Scaly and thick patches appear on different body parts, including genitals, backs of the hands, bottoms of the feet, scalp, back of the neck, legs, and arms
– These patches would be very itchy, particularly when you are asleep or relaxed
– These patches could become infected or bleed when you scratch them.
This condition often occurs in those with psoriasis or other forms of eczema. The exact causes are still unknown, though stress could be a major risk factor. [3]
