Origanum marjoram or oregano is a common spice that can be found in many stores. However, make sure to look for essential oil extracted from wild oregano as it contains carvacrol and thymol, which are potent antifungals. Some studies have proved that this home remedy would slow or stop the growth of Candida fungus that causes yeast infections, depending on the used dosage. However, keep in mind that oregano oil is a blood thinner, so avoid using it topically or diffused. Also, do not use it when you have some blood-clotting problems.
