9Warning Signs of Morning Sickness
If morning sickness becomes so debilitating and you cannot find any effective treatment, a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum may occur. Common signs may include unexpected weight loss, dehydration, vomiting, weight loss, serious nausea, and an unbalanced level of electrolytes. In mild cases, you may improve the symptoms with proper resting, dietary changes, or medications. When the symptoms are severe, hospitalization would be necessary so that you can get sufficient nutrition and fluid through an IV.
In addition, make sure to notice the following warning signs of morning sickness and talk with your birthing expert or doctor immediately to prevent further complications:
– Vomiting and nausea so serious that you cannot keep down water or food
– Vomiting and nausea persist through the first trimester
