During a transient ischemic attack, the muscles on your face can be temporarily paralyzed. This is caused when the nerves or neurons controlling these muscles are damaged due to a lack of blood. It is especially considerable around the mouth corners and around the eyes, which can be on the same side. This is a very scary and serious symptom for many people.
