13Deep Brain Stimulation
In more severe cases of Tourette’s syndrome, deep brain stimulation or DBS can be used to deal with serious tics. This procedure typically involves the placement of a battery-operated device that would electrically stimulate a targeted area of the brain. This part is responsible for controlling movements.
