Even when you have treated ringworm successfully and your skin has healed, you might experience some dark or red marks on the affected areas. This is also known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is a harmless condition. These marks could occur after inflammatory wounds such as a ringworm rash. Keep in mind that some people can be more susceptible to developing these marks than other people. Also, it is more common in people with dark skins. [9]
