Testicular Trauma: Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment and More

6What Should You Do about Testicular Trauma?

Pain is the main symptom of any testicular trauma. In minor cases, the sensation tends to disappear in a few hours or days without medical treatment. You can relieve the pain by taking OTC medications, resting well, applying ice packs to the affected part, or using supportive underwear to support these organs. It is advisable to avoid intensely physical activities to let the testicles recover in a few days. However, seek medical attention when:

– A fever occurs

– You have persistent vomiting and nausea

– You notice a punctured, bruising, or swelling of the scrotum

– The pain does not improve over time

These signs may indicate a serious injury that requires proper treatments. [7]
