7Food Intolerances
Duodenal ulcers make somebody develop intolerances for particular drinks and foods. For instance, when they consume products with too much acidity or spice, the open wound in the stomach can be irritated. This eventually slows down the health process or even worsens the symptoms. Therefore, it is better to avoid spicy peppers, hot sauce, tomatoes, juices, or citrus fruits until the ulcers have healed. Carbonated drinks, caffeinated beverages, liquor, wine, or beer should also be avoided. If you eat these types of drinks or food, make sure to rinse out your mouth with water afterward to reduce the risk of irritation. But overall, it is best to go for bland foods. [7]
