6Acetyl-L-Carnitine
Acetyl-l-carnitine is an amino acid produced naturally by the liver and the kidney in humans. It has reportedly relieved neuropathy symptoms in patients undergoing chemotherapy, although few other sources give different results. Acetyl-l-carnitine can regulate pain and minimize symptoms of neuropathy to a large extent in diabetic patients. Acetyl-l-carnitine is also available in supplements, as well as certain foods. Foods such as fish, dairy products, and poultry contain considerable amounts of this amino acid. The supplements should be taken according to the doctor’s directives. [4]
