3Causes of Social Communication Disorder
The exact causes of social communication disorder are still not fully clear. Some studies indicate that there may be a genetic overlap between this condition and autism. Some genes would increase the risk of social communication disorder and be more common in affected individuals. Nevertheless, there is currently no evidence that any combination of genes or specific genes leads to this condition. Scientists have also discovered several brain differences in those with a social communication disorder. The problem is that it is challenging to determine whether these differences lead to the disorder or other facts that result in the brain differences. [3]
