9Vaccination
Toddlers sometimes have a low-grade fever after vaccination. This mostly starts within 24 hours and would last one to two days. In general, vaccines are made using some components of the disease. The main goal is to signal the body to generate antibodies to fight against these foreign invaders. A mild fever indicates that it is working because the immune system is generating new antibodies. Some other common effects include trouble sleeping, fussiness, slight swelling at the injected area, and redness or tenderness. [9]
