4Stage Four
Stage four is characterized by moderate cognitive decline. People with Lewy body dementia might often have confirmed diagnosis now. A physical exam and several lab tests can help a doctor find out possible signs and symptoms of cognitive issues. Some typical problems with patients in this stage include life-disrupting forgetfulness, difficulty speaking, tremors, excessive drooling, aspiration, difficulty swallowing, choking, high risk of falls on the ground, trouble doing daily tasks at work and school, high risk of many health issues, increased sleeping time during the day but fewer hallucinations, as well as needing more continuous supervision.
