7Seizures
Most girls with Rett syndrome have seizures. These might include three main kinds. Myoclonic seizures come with short body jerking, usually with impaired consciousness. Absence seizures are characterized by unresponsiveness and staring periods, without body shaking or moving and deliberate movements. Tonic-clonic seizures are the shaking of the body, often with no response or diminished consciousness. The type and frequency of seizures would vary from person to person. This symptom can’t be noticed and prevented in advance with some medications. While there is still no particular treatment for this syndrome, it is necessary that your daughters get treatment for seizures to prevent further complications. [7]
