8Depression
Living through a traumatic event would usually make you feel anxious and depressed. Thus, some common signs of depression might indicate the presence of PTSD. These include difficulty concentrating on daily tasks at work or school, feeling of deep sadness that will not disappear, feeling of emptiness, low levels of energy, lack of interest in your hobbies or favorite activities, and feeling of worthlessness, helplessness. Unlike usual depression, this condition cannot be treated with normal therapies or medications. Instead, you have to cope with the underlying condition: PTSD. [8]
