10Physical Exam
After an evaluation of the medical history, a general physical exam can be carried out to find out possible symptoms of polyuria. The doctor might need to look for signs of associated conditions, such as diabetes mellitus or obesity. The neck and head should also be checked for dry mouth and eyes. In some worse cases, your healthcare provider would have to check for your mental health as well. Some red flags that might bring particular concern include psychiatric disorder, unexpected weight loss, cough, night sweats, and abrupt onset of polyuria symptoms. [10]
