10Lifestyle Changes
Some lifestyle changes can make your life with Parkinson’s disease much easier. These include:
– A balanced diet: No foods have been proved to be effective in treating Parkinson’s disease. However, drinking sufficient water and consuming foods high in fiber can prevent constipation caused by the condition. Also, it would provide sufficient nutrients to improve overall health.
– Exercise: Working out frequently would improve balance, flexibility, and muscle strength. Exercise would reduce anxiety or depression and improve well-being as well.
– Avoiding falls: In the late stages, people with Parkinson’s disease might fall easily. To reduce the risk, avoid walking backward, carrying heavy items while walking, or pivoting the body over the feet. [10]
