11Papular Eczema Outlook
Papular eczema is not as common as other types of eczema. The condition tends to occur more in those with darker skin and children. Certain studies have found that nearly 50 percent of children with eczema may outgrow the disease when they reach their teenage years. In many cases, eczema tends to disappear after 10 to 20 years. However, if children develop papular eczema between 2 and 5 years old, the condition tends to persist. In some adults, the symptoms would recur, especially on the hands. [12]
