3Signs and Symptoms of Nephroptosis
In most mild cases, nephoroptosis does not cause any signs at all. Others may experience some common symptoms, such as vomiting, nausea, sharp pain that spreads to the groin, blood in the urine, a weighing sensation in the abdomen, an abdominal growth when standing up, high blood pressure, excessive protein in the urine, and a history of recurrent urinary tract infections. These problems tend to happen when you stand up and improve when you lie down. It is estimated that around 20 percent of nephoroptosis cases affect two kidneys, around 10 percent only affect the left kidney, and up to 70 percent impact the right kidney. [3]
