6Multiple Sclerosis after Delivery
Some studies have suggested that having more multiple sclerosis relapses during pre-pregnancy may increase the risk of postpartum relapses. Also, a higher rate of relapses and multiple sclerosis-associated disability before or during pregnancy may be linked to more postpartum relapses. In spite of this higher risk, it is found that most people who multiple sclerosis is not well-controlled pre-pregnancy do not show any relapses during their postpartum year. Relapses of multiple sclerosis symptoms will not affect the body in the long run. Nevertheless, there may be fatigue and lethargy during the first few months after delivery. [8]
