9Refractory and Relapsed Multiple Myeloma

Refractory multiple melanoma occurs when the condition does not respond to your treatment options or comes back later after the treatment period. It can be broken down into two main types: primary and relapsed. Primary refractory myeloma is when your body does not respond to treatments. It would keep progressing over time or stay static. Relapsed multiple myeloma happens when cancerous cells return after a few months or even years of treatment.
