10Monoclonal Gammopathy
Monoclonal gammopathy, also known as MGUS, is a relatively benign disease that would lead to multiple myeloma in many cases. However, this is not a common cause as only 5 percent of older people above 50 years old report this condition. The underlying cause of MGUS is still unclear. It involves M protein in the body like myeloma. Many clinical studies have shown that the health issue would make the body produce more plasma cells in the bone marrow. If left untreated in an extended period, it might lead to multiple myeloma and many other serious complications. [10]
