3Who Are At Risk of Morgellons Disease?
Until now, Morgellons disease is still a relatively mysterious condition that is poorly described. Some researchers believe it is purely psychological, while others believe it is infection-based. Therefore, there is still limited evidence on possible risk factors and individuals who may get Morgellons disease. Based on a study by the CDC from 2006 to 2008, the condition is more likely to happen in people who are white, female, and in the early to mid 50s. Those who participated in the research also usually experienced chronic fatigue. More than 50 percent of them reported fair to poor overall health. [3]
